Victorious Golgotha Mission school began in 2009 with a population of 5 pupils. It has struggled, with the assistance of a well-wisher who has been supporting to the current state. It has about 600 pupils. The project is found in a peri-urban area where there are a number of Orphan, Semi Orphan, Children from very poor backgrounds and Street Children are found. The problem of orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) is acute due to urbanization. Due to the deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of deserted / widowed / divorce women, absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girls; these orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) children are left without care and support. These children are involved in metal scrap picking; pick pocketing and participating in anti-social, criminal activities. Some children from poor backgrounds whose parents cannot afford school fees are left with no option but to drop out of school continuing the vicious cycle of poverty. Therefore, the project envisaged providing these children with quality education and mainstreaming them by providing care support and protection in the Victorious Golgotha Mission school and Sir henry Vigo Mission Secondary School for The Orphans and Vulnerable.
Mainstreaming the orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) in the national building by providing care, support & protection through shelter, food, and education.

Due to the Deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of Deserted / Widowed / Divorce women and high rate of poverty. Absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / sexually exploited girls: these OVC are left without care and support. These children are involved in metal scrap picking; pick pocketing and participating in anti-social, criminal activities, child labour. Therefore, the project envisaged mainstreaming these children in the national building by providing care, support and protection in Victorious Golgotha Mission school and Sir henry Vigo Mission Secondary School for Orphans and Vulnerable. The project proposed in this scheme is meant for additional support to run the school for orphans, poor and vulnerable
Education is central to all and especially to women in the fight against poverty and discrimination. However access to quality education in is low. This is because of several reasons. • The first cause is poverty itself. Reversing this situation is of paramount importance for empowering poor children and their families. • The problem of OVC is also acute due to urbanization, industrialization. • Deaths of AIDS affected persons. • Re-marriage of Widowed/ Divorce women. • Absence of love and security. • Unwanted pregnancy of sexually exploited girls; these OVC are left without care and support. These children are involved in metal scrap picking: pick pocketing & participating in anti-social, child labour and criminal activities. There are quite a lot challenges that are facing the Mission School Programme: i. Parents / Guardians do lack resources to make contribution towards the education of these poor children and youths. ii. Children do lack the required scholastic materials and training materials. iii. Most children cannot access proper nutrition which leads to poor health. iv. Some of them are HIV positive and chronically sick. v. The organization lacks enough resources and finances to develop the infrastructure and provided standardized services.
